happy dance
Isaac starts school a week from tomorrow, and I’m very very happy that he’ll be going back for another year of preschool with the team from last year. Same school, same teacher, same classroom. This teacher really seems to “get” Isaac and he made a lot of progress with her last year. This will be good.
<random cuteness>
Isaac has developed a taste for popcorn, and I think pOPcoor! may be the cutest thing he says right now. He has such a sweet little voice. Part of the appeal of popcorn for him is that preparation includes a thrilling 90-second episode of The Microwave Show. He likes to watch the timer count down. Seriously, using the microwave is an Event at our house.

Wonderful to have you back and terrific to have an update on Ike – YAY!!
We need a little video of the “popping of the corn” and the subsequent Isaac delight of munching and saying. “pOPcoor”! Pullleeeeze!
It’s great when they have those little words isn’t it? My three year old says “bay-baid” for “band-aid”. You want to squeeze them, they are so adorable!
i can’t figure out how to get a message in my email when you update the blog. What did i miss ?
MORE CAT STORIES & PHOTOS, PLEASE. I love the Isaac stories, and the randomly-acquired kitsch, but I miss the cats …
Hey, yeah, good to see you are back to blogging — I was missing your updates and photos!
Sara: SO GLAD you’re back…. I kept checking your old site and when I saw the blue kitchen my heart would sink a little…. finally I paused to see the link to the new site. Life’s better with your blog in it!

Amen about the cat stories! Isaac is precious, and I’m glad to hear you’re all doing well and blogging again, but I miss hearing about the cats!
So nice to catch up with you again – and the Awesome Husband and Wonderful Child.
Yes, i can hear you screaming “WAIT!!!”. Crikey, don’t they go /fast/?
And sod to the snotty person who wanted less of Isaac. Parenting is what helps you realise that paid work in itself is almost always pretty easy: even if it’s exhausting in lots of ways your adult colleagues don’t usually run around in circles screaming blue murder, or wake you up with vomiting over the bedclothes at 3 a.m., or scare you witless by having random high fevers and rambling incoherently at you in the hospital. And if they do you can quit, which you can’t do if you’re a mum.
I like ike.
See? Original, no?
YAY – you’re back!! I’m so glad Issac is doing well. My boys love the microwave too, even more so if it contains hot cocoa.
